Used to have a starship manual of Starfleet vessels for TMP era with this vessel in it, and it was one of my fave ships with its ability to deliver a heavy payload of photons to bear. Love this rendition of it!

Cool;

although the impulse exhausts right into the drive section. It might look more 'sexy' if you pull the impulse engines off the saucer section, and clone them and move them to the warp pylons and/or the pylon to the photon bays.

Amazingly cool.

If you look closely the impulse engines are modified compared to the standard Enterprise class one. They have a clear line of sight backwards. The design isnt mine , but i think it is pretty awesome, designer has thought about everything.
